Problem changing from Gnome desktop to Fluxbox desktop?

The system was originally using gdm as login manager, and the desktop environment is gnome desktop. What are the files I need to change the login manager to xdm, and to work in fluxbox desktop.

Changes I've done to /etc/X11/default-display-manager:

- default-display-manager has been updated to /usr/bin/X11/xdm.

Changes I've done in /etc/alternatives:

- x-window-manager has been updated to point to /usr/bin/fluxbox via update-alternatives.

However, x-session-manager is pointing to /usr/bin/gnome-session.

What should x-session-manager be pointing to if I want to use xdm as login manager and fluxbox as window-manager?

Thanks!

run "dpkg-reconfigure gdm" and then choose xdm from the list as the default login manager. Before reconfiguring gdm, make sure xdm is installed on ur system.

Did that... I think that changed the /etc/X11/default-display-manager's content to /usr/bin/X11/xdm

Successful authentication will re-prompt me with the login screen again.

Thanks !
