how do i write in knoppix


i'm running knoppix so that i can easily configure an already installed system and be on the net at the same time. problem is every time i try to write files on my HDD it won't let me, not even in root?
please help

writing to HD

I think (don't have it in front of me now), on the knoppix desktop you can see icons for each of your HD partitions. If you right click them (not sure), I think you are given the option of making them writeable.

Are you using the knoppix live cd or do you have knoppix installed?
