How can I copy files from a loopback iso?

I stand to be corrected, but as far as I know, files on a mounted loopback iso are only symlinks to the actual files. If this is the case, is there any way to copy the actual files onto a separate folder? There's a Mandrake howto here http://www.theory.physics.ubc.ca/mandrake-update.html, but it's rather dated. I'm going to give it a try and I'm still searching on Google, but I would appreciate suggestions from anyone who's been able to copy files from a loopback iso before. Thanks.

no that's not true at all. mounting an iso on loopback gives you the files.. just copy them like any other file. where did you read that?? that link is about remastering an iso, which is obviously a long way from just copying files from a cd image.

That was fast, acid_kewpie! I shall try copying the files directly. Mainly I need to copy the files onto a flash drive and then burn them onto CD on a different machine since the CD burner on this one is fried! (Needless to say the machines are not connected).
