Hello,

I want to install the native sound/ethernet and video card drivers from nvidia's site.

Can I do this? and how?

In mandrake you downloaded the kernel sources, exited the graphical enviroment and installed the drivers- rebooted altered the config and presto done.

don't use the nvidia network drivers. use the forcedeth module which is already on your system. as for graphics... please see the guide in the linuxanswers site here, the official howto, or a hundred other guides out there.

basically I am asking if it is essentially the same as on mandrake?
