Help Nvidia 32 MB...
Hi i install debian sarge on my computer (i don't know how jejeje), but i can't configure the AGP nvidia 32 MB video card. Someone can help me about it, please?
Older cards like that arne't supported by the newer Nvidia drivers. See if Debian has a nvidia-legacy package, else find a FTP that still has version 7174 of the drivers or just live with the the nv driver.
Linux version of the nvidia does support these 32MB graphics card, Windoz version doesn't. I have a Geforce4 420 Go 32MB graphics chip and the latest nvidia drivers works perfect !
You should be able to use the latest driver the Geforce2 MX or better cards are still supported by it IIRC. Can you give us some more details as to what you have tried to get the card working eg. are you using the nvidia driver or the one that comes with the xserver what is it that is not working for you exactly.
This is a binary package which you need to execute and follow the instructions. After having installed you'll have to edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and change the video driver to "nvidia"
and that should get you going.
Come back and post if you have any further questions.
