HELP!!! I have a problem mounting my SATA ntfs HDD


I am running the latest version of Debian on an IDE hard disk. I am trying to mount my ntfs sata hard drive, but it doesn't seem to work.

I type in mount -t ntfs /dev/hdd2 /mnt/windows.

I get an error saying theres no hdd2 or the fs type is wrong. I have tried just bout evry combination of hhd i can and alot of numbers after it.

Try running:
fdisk -l

This should show you what drive is your sata one - it is probably sda.
