Question hardware raid problem

Hi you all.

I have a second-hand HP Netserver LH3: PIII 500, 128MB registered PC100, 1x80 GB IDE (hda), 1xCDROM (hdb), and 4x9'1 GB SCSI configured as a RAID5 array. SCSI controller is SYM53C895, onboard

I installed Woody (kernel 2.4.18) in hda, recompiled kernel with SCSI support, SCSI disk support, and SYM53C8XX support.. At boot time:
1.- BIOS: SYM found, + 1 logical drive found
2.- Debian: SYM found, but nothing about the array.

Can anybody help me? Thanks....
