GUI network manager for XFCE

Hi

I'm looking for a GUI network manager running under XFCE, to setup static IP addresses.

If you are using static IP, why not just take 2 minutes and edit /etc/network/interfaces manually?

There is really no need for a GUI unless you want to use gedit.

For me is it not a problem, I can do it very easily from the command line.
I need to create a linux thin client for a firm abroad and they have some branches without DHCP. The administrators there need a GUI, because they don't understand linux and they don't want edit files.

You can use wicd but, as mentioned above it is a good learning exercise to configure these yourself.

Gnome-system-tools provides gnome-network-admin (since it is not a standalone package anymore), if you want direct access to the /etc/network/interfaces and want to avoid the use of a network daemon like network manager or wicd.

That is far heavier and more resource hungry than wicd - not the best for a light XFCE install.
