Hi.
Not sure where to post this. I'm trying to use Gstreamer on Debian Squeeze 6.0.3 to record video from a camera, but it seems the "OGGs" it produces are bad. I'm using the following command line:
Code:
gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src ! queue ! videorate ! video/x-raw-yuv,framerate=15/1 ! videoscale ! video/x-raw-yuv,width=720,height=480 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! theoraenc quality=40 ! oggmux ! filesink location=$FILENAME
and when I try to convert or extract clips from the OGGs with ffmpeg, I get garbled output. Opening the "OGGs" in "cinelerra" also gives garble. Also, they don't seem to play in Windows VLC, but I can play them in Debian VLC but the "length" indicator shows "--:--". I tried running some verification programs on them like oggz-validate and ogginfo, which gave warnings/errors of "serialno 1590263088: missing *** eos" and "WARNING: EOS not set on stream 1" respectively. It didn't seem to do this in earlier debian, but I could be wrong. Could it be a bug? Or something else? If so, what?
