GNOME ejects ipod

hi

in Ubuntu (Breezy) I can right click the icon of my iPod and directly eject it (the "Do not disconnect iPod" goes away).
Is this a gnome 2.12 feature or is it some udev/hotplug rule that ubuntu has by default that debian doesn't?

Stefan
