Gnome 2.8 Observations and Problems
 

I upgrade with apt-get upgrade last nite and notice the upgrade to Gnome 2.8
however i notice two flaws in the Gnome Panels.....every-time i combine the status lines both top and bottom into one line and place at the bottom....on reboot it revert back to original.....any ideas?

also i notice another difference....in the previous versions of GNOME a little printer icon appears next to the date when printing....now nothing but there is a choice called Print Notification Icon in the Debian Menu>Apps>System menu that appears to do nothing...:(

any ideas where to start looking for cure????

Have you tried the #gnome on the IRC (Freenode)?

no....but i just upgrade again and the gnome panel problem is fixed...
now only the print icon remains to fix...
