gnome 2.10.2 menus on testing

I just upgraded to testing and I am having a little trouble with gnome 2.10.2 .I can't figure out how to add stuff to the menus.
There is no debian menu so I need to make my own . I can't right click to make them,and I can't use applications:/// in nautilus either.Thanks for any help.

Try this to update (and/or create?) the Debian menu:
$ update-menus

From the menu:
Applications > Help > Desktop > User Guide > Chapter 5, Section 7 "Customizing Your Menus"

If applications:/// isn't working, you may have to consider something being broken. Have you looked at testing's bug reports?

Edited for my lack of reading comprehension...
