get one package from unstable


Hi ,
"testing" 2.6
If I just want specific package from the unstable , what would be the exact command , without changing the current repository ?

You could face dependency problems so maybe its best to add the unstable repos to your /etc/apt/sources.list, apt-get update then install the package you need. Once thats done disable the unstable repos.

You could do a backport. Add the deb-src line for sid. Then apt-get update; apt-get build-dep package; apt-get -b source package

Installing the debs this way is probably safer than just getting a package from Sid
