I'm not into debian but I need to solve this problem, here's the thing:

Yep I can't compile, so I tried to instal g++, i got this:

g++: Depends: g++-2.95 but it is not going to be installed

Tried to install g++-2.95, got this:

g++-2.95: Depends: libstdc++2.10-dev (>= 1:2.95.4) but it is not going to be installed

etc, etc. I think whats really missing is libc6-dev, but when trying to install i get:

libc6-dev: Depends: libc6 (= 2.2.5-11.5) but 2.3.2.ds1-11 is to be installed

can anyone explain me what the heck is going on?

If you're still trying to solve the problem are you

- using debian or gentoo? If debian, what version?
- putting all the items on one line (e.g. apt-get install libc6-dev g++ ...)
- using X? If so, try synaptic.
