ftp upload directories
I have a hosted site I use only as a backup and I am new to this and FTP. I have used this host's interfaces to do the job but this is very tedious.
From what I gathered, I can only upload files using FTP, not complete directories. I have a main directory containing some 30 directories that mostly hold files but some have sub directories as well. How can I upload this main directory and everything below? Or do I have to make a script that names each directory and sub directory to have all the files uploaded? Thank you for your help. |
Hi,
The question may be better suited in another forum, as it is not really Debian related. All I recall from using an ftp command line is that typing help gives you a list of commands you can read up on. I just tried it from bash, and help says the command to send multiple files is "mput". Cheers mate |
True, I put the question in the wrong forum, I should have been a bit more careful.
mput is for multiple files from the same directory Thank you for the answer. |
