Rickh ... I worry that he may have passed away. The last I heard from him (via a message here), he was pretty ill. I sent him a private message in January, and I haven't heard anything.
Telemachos, this is indeed sad news. Can you please try and find out his condition. I never had a run in with him, but I know of his "fame". I would kiddingly say is the "Simon Cowell" of the Linux world. He always spoke his mind, never publicly correct on his views. Spoke from the hip. He would be sorely missed if he did indeed pass away.
I have often wondered about folks I meet on the internet and then after a time they just never return. What happen to them. Different from those to see and know what happens.
Shooting from the hip actually means something (gunman...fast, accurate, dangerous, easily provoked and so on) but ....speaking from the hip? Please. Also bear in mind that a person speaking from hip would probably only need to sneeze or slip to find themself talking out of their a*s.
I noticed that it was back but left this thread just in case. Since it seems to be up and running and solid, this thread is destickified and closed. And if you guys want to stick around here as well as your regular site, feel free
