fluxbox menu rewriten

I am running fluxbox as my wm. I saw that after an install/reconfigure of an app that is in fluxbox's menu the /etc/X11/fluxbox/fluxbox-menu file is rewriten loosing valuable settings done in this file (eg.: mplayer is ran with the -zoom parameter).

Is there a way to avoid the regeneration of the fluxbox-menu in a manner that destroys these settings?

I want the new apps to be there, but I don't want the other options to be affected...

it worked through /etc/menu but not through /usr/lib/menu
