filezilla in lenny?


how come there's no filezilla in testing, only etch and unstable? I'm running testing, which one should I install?

The one in Sid. You should first understand the process for setting up a mixed Testing/Unstable system

thanks, I didn't want to risk mixing so I just used the binary from the site with the needed libraries installed from testing.

Hmmm. It wants to bring along a couple libraries that are only in experimental. (libwxbase2.8-0 and libwxgtk2.8-0) Have you tried it?

Even if you have, I'm a bit leery because I think you use KDE, and those libraries look like they might conflict with something in Gnome.

There'll be plenty of time to play around with Experimental when Lenny is frozen, and very little is dribbling into Sid.

I didn't realize how deep in experimental I am until you said that.

I have over 200 packages from experimental installed.

Slackhat, disregard what I said since you are trying to keep a lenny system.
