file system check

hi

I have Lenny with Ext3 partitions and would like to backup
using Acronis True Image Home, but I'm getting this error:
Code:
Some partitions contain errors and can only be imaged sector by sector.
shutdown -F -r now didn't help.

should I start the system in recovery mode and check all linux partitions with fsck ?

thx, but partitions in recovery mode are mounted by default.
I must unmount them and then run fsck.

I've done fsck and badblocks -vs /dev/sda and there were no errors or badblocks in the system.

perhaps this is not error from Acronis, just a warning.
it could be that Acronis can backup Ext3 only sector by sector.

Can you try taking the image whilst in rescue mode so filesystems are unmounted?

I started the backup using Acronis boot CD, so the system was unmounted.
