Unhappy file attribute question

Hi all:

I use the standard package of ftp server in Debian 3.0r2 (kernel 2.4).

When I ftp file to my linux account, the default attribute is 640.

I want to change the default attribute to 644.

What should I do?

Thanks.

Edit /etc/inetd.conf and change the line
Code:
ftp	stream	tcp	nowait	root	/usr/sbin/tcpd	/usr/sbin/in.ftpd
to
Code:
ftp	stream	tcp	nowait	root	/usr/sbin/tcpd	/usr/sbin/in.ftpd -u 022
