ext2 > reiserfs

i am running woody with kernel 2.6.5. the root partition is ext2, and i would like to make it reiserfs. could someone tell me how to do that? also i would like to make the /home as reiserfs.

To change the fs on the partition wouldn't you have to format the whole partition with the new fs? Do you have /home on a different partition than / ? I assume you mean the / point when you talk about the root partition and not the /root directory. Anyway, if you want the / partition to change fs you might want to do a clean reinstall with a dist. that can be installed with reiserfs. I would be surprised if there would be a tool to change a partition from ext2 to reiserfs and keep all data on the fs, ecspesially since there are so large differences between those two fs' regarding journaling and the way they handle blocks (ext2 with an array and reiserfs with a tree).
If someone can prove me wrong please do. I would be very interested in such a tool and to know how it would work...
