Experienced java and linux user
I'm looking for some help on an opensource project (Apache license). The program is being build by several java devs and is getting a lot of attention. It is time though to start building installers (getting userfriendly so to say). The devs on the project (which is a java project) get along fine with windows and the installer is about done. Now I feel (as the web host and debian user) that the unix version deserves the same.
Please contact me if you think you can help build an Unix installer. And...not to turn you down, the project is not too simple. Regards |
It might help if you post a link to your project, so developers get an idea what it's all about. Can't help I'm afraid, I can't code :p

For Debian, there is probably a mailing list where you can find help with creating Debian packages. Maybe there you'll also find someone who wants to packages your app. |
Java Service Wrapper
Not sure whether it's what you're after, but we've successfully used Tanuki Software's Java Service Wrapper (first hit in Google; this forum won't let me add a link and is therefore the last time I'll use it), which is a cross platform app to install your Java app as a Windows or Linux service.
