Etch Installation

I just received a copy of Debian Etch and during installation I get an error that there's no installed kernels or kernel version doesn't match the version of modules installed, so there's no option to proceed with installation, also an integrity check on all 3 discs (ordered from linux central) reports errors. Is there a work around for the module/kernel thing or this an issue with corrupt discs?

I don't know if there is an actual error on the disk or it's just old. Either could give such an error.

Get the official etch netinstal .iso, about 100 mb, and install from it. You do need a broadband internet connection.
