Error when I try to open my home folder in GNOME
1 Attachment(s)
Hi! Whenever I try to open my home folder in GNOME, I get the following error as seen in the attachment. How can I fix this? I do have nautilus installed, so what could be the problem??

Noticed the format?

How are you trying to open this? Looks as if you try to "look into it" with a webbrowser...

More info, please, this looks interesting...

Hi there,

Try re-installing nautilus and that should fix the problem.

Reinstalling nautilus didn't do anything!

Alright, thats interesting. Can you please help us with the following:

1. Are you able to get into your home folder via command line (console)
2. Is this happening for only this user account or for other user accounts as well?
3. When did this happen, did you made any changes to the system after which you started seeing this message.
4. Did you give reboot a try?

I am able to get into my home folder by making a link on my desktop pointing to the directory of my home folder. I am not shure if it does it on any other accounts because I am the only one who uses this computer. I am also unaware of when it happened or how it happened. I an honestly not sure. Rebooting did not help.

Try Alt+F2, type nautilus hit Enter, right click on your home folder and > Open with > Nautilus. Restart Nautilus.

Well, if need be and it obviously is, after you open Nautilus from the Alt+F2, click on the File System, then on Home, then right click on your Home folder. If need be and it obviously is, click on the Open With > Open With Other Application and then find and choose Nautilus.
