When mounting /dev/sdb2 I got a wierd error message

this came up after not being able to mount it properly prior to 2 restarts

any idea what this means?

what were you typing to mount it. example: mount /dev/sdb2. also, is the drive ide or sata or scsi?

mount -t vfat -o umask=000 /dev/sdb2 /mnt/sdb2

but i don't think it's important, i repartitioned and the problem went away

great that it worked. what made you try re-partitioning?
