RHEL issue with this
I had this same issue in a manner of speaking.
[root@ns2 ~]# /etc/init.d/iptables restart
iptables: Flushing firewall rules: [ OK ]
iptables: Setting chains to policy ACCEPT: filter nat mangl[ OK ]
iptables: Unloading modules: [ OK ]
iptables: Applying firewall rules: WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/supervise, it will be ignored in a future release.
[ OK ]
[root@ns2 ~]# vi /etc/sysconfig/selinux
[root@ns2 ~]# reboot
the /etc/sysconfig/selinux file after success of getting rid of the above annoyance:
SELINUX=disabled
SELINUXTYPE=targeted
I realized it was originally set to enforced instead of disabled. Then I had to reboot the server and everything was fine. (good thing I had two ns servers which one was set right and the other was not.)
may have been a while but hope this helps anyone else that comes across this.
