error for keyrings

Hi Masters
please guide me how to fix this error :

Code:
user1@debian:~/gitian-builder$ bin/make-base-vm --lxc --arch amd64 --suite precise
[sudo] password for user1:
I: Target architecture can be executed
I: Retrieving InRelease
I: Retrieving Release
I: Retrieving Release.gpg
I: Checking Release signature
E: Release signed by unknown key (key id 40976EAF437D05B5)
The specified keyring /usr/share/keyrings/ubuntu-archive-keyring.gpg may be incorrect or out of date.
You can find the latest Debian release key at https://ftp-master.debian.org/keys.html

I don't know what make-base-vm does, but it seems to install software that is signed by the provider. However, the signature can't be validated using the keys on your system (/usr/share/keyrings/ubuntu-archive-keyring.gpg). The error message suggests updating the keys from https://ftp-master.debian.org/keys.html.

Strangely, the name of the keyring suggests Ubuntu, but your system seems to be Debian. Perhaps it's this confusion that causes the failure. Figure out why you have Ubuntu instead of Debian keys.

You could also disable the signature check, but that's risky, and I don't know if make-base-vm has options for that.
