I ran both those commands as sudo and got massive lists. Should I grep for particular words?

I notice that at bootup - there's red text with something like 'kernel modules not loaded'.

Interesting, the original error message is nowhere to be seen... presumeably wasn't registered with a "error" priority..


Go back to what ever you used to see it originally and copy and paste a bunch of lines before and aft.

I've since moved onto Debian 9 but if anyone else has this issue they can post here to try to resolve it. Cheers.
