Elivecd and speedtouch

Hi

I am going to be giving the elive cd a whirl to see what Enlightenment 17 is like, does anyone know if I can run my speedtouch 330 modem with it? The pesky thing always needs to be set up manually on other distros, does anyone have experience of doing this. Elive is based on Debian Serge I think.

Thanks

Otto K

Dont have one myself but elive cd comes with speedtouchconf and firmware for the grey and non-grey modem.

Dear beagle2

Thank you for your prompt post it is very useful. Excuse my stupidity but does the fact it has the firmware and etc mean that it should be able to work my modem from scratch. If so I am very impressed, and will giving my undying loyalty to elive, -well apart from the fact that I need lilo as a bootloader and it has grub-.

All my thanks

Dont know about that, as I said dont have the 330 any more but when you boot into e16 instead of e17 there is a menu item for setting up speedtouch modem.
