I copied you list over mine except for Debian KDE 3.4 entry since I wont be using KDE. Everything else is there. Now since I have no GUI I run the command:
Code:
#apt-get update
I get a huge list of data but at the ver end it says:
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I don't know if this is normal or I need to fix something.
Ignore the above posted errors - For some reason when I decide to reboot my debian system, I dont get an IP address for some reason untill I run the "dhclient" command.

Anyone know why when I reboot, my Debian machine is not assigned an automatic IP? When I reboot, I must give the command "dhclient" to do something & it assignes me with a dynamic LAN ip 192.168.1.10X.
Please help as I think there would have to be a way I can set up "eth0" to maintain a static LAN IP during a reboot or shutdown.
