Hi,

I would be interested to update a webpage periodically showing
if my skype in online, gaim online, and display the playlist or what I am listening with xmms, and all of those being secured (ssh would be the best no?).

I would like a website hosting something like yahoo, whatever is possible
(nota : no apache is running on my linux box)

Has someone done that already ?

I assume you could write a script to create a webpage (or something) out of whatever you need, and have the script sftp the changed web pages to the server..that's one way. Or if the server has php (or something equal), you could have a script there (of course somewhat secured so that only you can pass information on - this would be the tricky part) that updated your webpage when it received certain information, and have your script pass that information to it. Sort of like automatic submission. For example the script could collect the information you need, then $POST it to the php page (but it would need to authenticate somehow..) which in turn updated the details. Well, maybe making the page on your own machine and having it sftp'ed to the server by a script is easier..
