duplicating a display screen


hello Experts

Need a help to share the content of a display screen to another one

I have a debian os system -old one .version 5

this runs a program to display information in a Lobby ,Would like to extend the same content in another big screen connected to another system with HDMI cable

let me know

i tried VNC but could not install all packages and failed

I don't know the solution, but you obviously need to give us more information, like:
1. is this a graphical or a console app?
2. how did you try to install VNC, what's happened exactly?
3. why don't you try to upgrade that debian?
4. what is running on that "another" system?

If this system is using x, just use xrandr, run xrandr --help for more info. This should also help https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/xrandr

To make it easier, install LXrandR or Arandr, both of these are gui front-ends to xrandr.

Let us know if this works.
