Question dpkg error on thinkpad 560E


Currnetly using a Thinkpad 560E. When I try to use apt-get to install software, it starts working, then i get:

VM: Killing process dpkg
E: Sub process /usr/bin/dpkg exited unexpectedly

Whats happened :s

could u plz add the full error msg ..

also what release do you use ?...
