Disgrace arrives to Debian - part 2 - (revisited)
This is a CONTINUATION of this thread:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...175521112-new/ Please discuss.. |
I foresee another lock coming up
|
And I see a continuation, here, there, everywhere..
|
Because you are making them all. Please stop.

I'll take Godfather Vito Corleone's stance...
If they wish to poison themselves with systemd, let them. They're all hipster loving fadware coddling animals anyway, so let them lose their souls. And as Pontius Pilate, I wash my hands of this. |

You've already made it very clear in your previous posts that you don't like systemd (and yes, it's "systemd" and not "systemD"). What else are you trying to achieve? Your posts aren't constructive for anyone. Did it ever occur to you how titles like "Disgrace arrives to Debian" insult real people. Do you consider Bdale Garbee a bad person for making the final verdict in favor of systemd? You're insulting real people with real feelings without even giving a reason, that's never OK. It's always nice to see people care about Free Software, however ... please offer your time in a constructive way. |
@jens: I fully agree with you that these kinds of posts and threads are pointless. However, just to be clear it was gor0, not Halvy who named the previous thread "Disgrace arrives to Debian". Not that I would expect Halvy to disagree.

Yup Debian went systemd like they announced they would about 8 months ago. No one really likes Lennart still, and Red Hat is still evil. All the recriminations on all the Linux forums, G+ threads, and newly spawned websites haven't changed it. Don't like it fix it and lobby, don't have the skills donate, didn't do either then just be quiet.

Another systend whinefest. Yes, it sucks. Many of us already know that. Yes, it is now in Debian. Debian users are already aware of it. Crying about it in yet another thread will not make systemd go away.

I don't question Bdale Garbee as he has to make rough decisions being a person in his job standing, but I do question if there were any ulterior motives behind this as Debian has never been one to jump into using software that is still in the process of evolution. There are accusations to that effect being made, and no I need not say them here, but it still serves to go that this was highly unlike Debian.
