Delete a single E-mail / multiple mbox files

I'm in a distressfull situation where a disgrutnled employee sent an e-mail that had very bad content to a lot of users before he quit. I'm running in Debian with sendmail. I'm a little familar with perl and looking for a script to go through the inboxes and prune that one single e-mail. If anyone would point me to the right direction I would appreciate greatly.
