Debian; Testing; "Oddness With LibreOffice Calc"

I only use LibreOffice Calc every few weeks, so I assume that an update caused this oddity.

When I use KDE, it takes about 2-3 minutes before the application actually starts, even if I disable graphics on KDE (Nvidia graphics card). Before the update it appeared immediately.

However, it behaves normally on XFCE.

What's up with that???

{{I haven't checked LXDE nor Fluxbox, yet. But if it behaves normally, I will not not mention it}}

I use LO 6.2.5.2 on Slackware and the start has definitely got slower with the latest update. Not minutes but still more than it used to be.

Thank you Hazel.
I/we have figured out that I/we are not bug{crap} crazy. It is also not my system, it seems to be LibreOffice itself.
I have looked BRIEFLY on the web, but there seems no mention of it, YET.

Hopefully it will be fixed "in the fullness of time"...

I've noticed something else. From time to time, my screen goes black, then comes up again. As far as I can see, it only happens in LO. It never happened with the previous version.

I am not certain, but the command MIGHT be called:

setterm

You might want to check it out.

A few years ago, probably around 2009, The same thing happened to me. I did a websearch and someone suggested "setterm". I included setterm into my system-startup, after I saw that it fixed the problem, and it worked fine for me.

HOWEVER, YOU MILEAGE MAY VARY!

It just seems puzzling to me because LO doesn't run from any kind of terminal. It's purely graphical. But if it helps, I don't mind using it. What options do you use for the command? And are we talking /etc/rc.d startup files or .bashrc?
