Debian + XFree86 + Nvidia card

lately i'm tying to install debian on my machine. i've got nvidia drivers (which are said to fit all linux systems). the only problem is that they need kernel source in order to install modules. well since i've never used debian before the only thing i know about my debians current state it that it has kernel-2.2.20 installed. on which CD is kernel-source-2.2.20 located, and how do i install it using dpkg (so far i've only been using rpms). the problem is i cannot find that package in packages list (in that tool that runs after tasksel). please help me

Hello.
I usually build my own kernels so I don't have this problem really but what I think you need to do is to get the exact corresponding kernel-headers package. If you are running kernel-image-2.4.18-i386_2.4.18-5 then you need the kernel-headers-2.4.18-386_2.4.18-5 package.

well i've installed kernel-image and kernel-headers. but after that, system wouldn'y boot, so i've just built my own kernel, and now it works fine. however another problem has appeared. that is my monitor blinks while using X. how should i configure it (i've got Panasonic P50i)

nvidia support, is marked in modconf with "nv". I had some problems, but turning of something kernel modul support or sg during modconf adjustments just solved it. I mean after selecting the card, it asks a couple of things, and before mouse selection ther is one you have to answer "no".
I am sorry if i was confusing.
