debian testing/stable and sid in same pc
hello
i wanna use debian testing/stable and sid in same PC. (a mad debian usr) i just need xfce or gnome in testing/stable and will store my song, download and doc in that partition. for new software i wanna install debian sid (for kde and gnome and other software) in another partition. how i can manage the grub menu.conf should i create a partion called /boot (optional) is it possible to use another little pattion for debian HURD. (if yes any hint !) my HDD =================== /dev/hda1 C: 6GB NTFS windows XP /dev/hda5 D: 6 GB NTFS /dev/hda6 swap 256mb /dev/hda7 reiserfs 14 GB debian testing thanx |
sure it's possible. it should work like any multi-boot would. there's a good guide on distrowatch:
