Debian "testing" -- lots of bug reports of late?

I've seen a lot of bug reports as shown by apt-listbugs in the latest update to "testing" (I did an apt-get dist-upgrade just now).

Will there be any problems if I update now? Anybody running on the latest packages?

So what's your system config.

I'm running on x86 architecture, AMD Duron processor, ATi Radeon 9600 Pro graphics, intel8x0 audio and so on.

Does udev or grub work properly? That's my main concern because udev and grub and sysv-rc reported bugs.

FYI: I am running etch on an older Athlon T-bird with MSI m/b and nvidia card, which runs fine under the 2.6.17-2-486 kernel, but suffered frequent lock-ups under the k7 kernel. It's been running fine 24/7 for over a week now, including several dist-upgrades.

After the upgrade to the latest Etch, kdesu stopped working properly. It doesn't accept the root password any more.
