#deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian sid main
#deb-src http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian sid main
#deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ sid main

#deb http://debian.alphagemini.org/ unstable main

# this is just a test:
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian sid main
apt-get install -s alsamixergui gives me:
Code:
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  kdebase-data kdeeject libdatrie0 kdebase-kio-plugins libdbus-qt-1-1c2
  libltdl3
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:
  libfltk1.1
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  alsamixergui libfltk1.1
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 32 not upgraded.
Inst libfltk1.1 (1.1.9-6 Debian:unstable)

Conf libfltk1.1 (1.1.9-6 Debian:unstable)
Conf alsamixergui (0.9.0rc2-1-9 Debian:unstable)

So I setup a usb drive to install from via unetbootin and selected testing amd64 netinst and I am in the middle of downloading software packages for standard system, laptop, and desktop environment!

It must have been something to do with that iso disc...hmm..

Now let's hope that unetbootin's iso it downloaded is nice and up to date!

Thanks for your help everyone!
