Debian squeeze does not boot - grub restart loop - 64bit proc [Solution]

Model: Lenovo G530 (4446)
Kernel: 2.6.32-5-amd64
Distro: Debian 6.0.2.1 Squeeze

For those that are encountering a continuous grub loop after installing the 64 bit version of Debian Squeeze, know that this issue is ACPI related.
To boot successfully, add an acpi parameter to the end of the kernel line.

Example:
Edit the following line: vmlinuz-2.6.32-5-amd64 root=uuid=*\-* ro quiet
Add either "acpi=off" or "acpi=ht" (without quotations) after quiet
