Hello,

For some reason, I'm having trouble finding the netinstall for SID. Can someone give me a url?

Thanks,

ab

As far as i know there are not any netinstall images for Sid.
The link Sycamorex has given you is for the daily built Testing images with the latest available version of installer components.

If you want to run Sid you will have to install Testing.
Then change your apt sources to Unstable and update with:

aptitude update
aptitude full-upgrade

I have, on a number of occasions, installed Sid directly by booting from either the netinstall or the other (smaller) one... business card CD is it? Going for "advanced text mode installation" and choosing Sid at the appropriate question. If all else fails, just manually edit the sources.list file when prompted during the installation and change the "testing" lines to "unstable" ones.

you could also use netbootcd-3.0 on USB to netinstall Sid/Testing, as it also can update and install debian daily installers.

Interesting...
I will have to look at the business card cd.
I assume you will still need the Testing disc.
Thanks for the tip.

This got me thinking.....
I downloaded the Testing business card iso,and started the 'advanced text mode installation'.
During the install process you are asked what branch of Debian you wish to install-ie Stable,Testing or Unstable.
As i just wanted to try the disc i aborted after this step.
I have always used the netinstall disc previously, never thought to try the business card iso before.
Just goes to show you learn something new everyday.
Good post Thymox!.
