Debian Server Keeps Going Down
Hello,
I am new here and I am very sorry that my first post is a question but I have no where else to turn. I have a debian server and it was running fine but recently it becomes inaccessible after some time and I can't seem to find out what is causing it. I have attached posted some of /var/log/messages at http://pastie.org/1639548 in hopes that someone might be able to suggest a possible solution. Please let me know if anyone can help I have been struggling with this for a week now Thank you |
Is there anything before the first lines of that paste? I'm looking for a BUG or an OOPS or a panic or oom-killer.
Can you run a memtest86+ to check for bad RAM? Try installing kexec-tools and kdump-tools and configuring it so that you get a crash dump when the kernel crashes. |
I have installed both those tools using apt-get now do I just have to wait for a crash again? Also, I cannot physically access the server and so I cannot run the memory test.
Thank you very much for taking your time to help me with this. |
