DEBIAN SARGE :: now what?

Hey all, im a new to this so pardon me if my questions sounds really stupid.
anyway here it goes:

-I installed Debian Sarge (latest release) on nov 14 2004
went through the installer and it all went great.

-i did apt-get update, and apt-get dist-upgrade
now i want to get X but i don't know what to do

i did: apt-get install x-window-system
and configured it.

now: apt-get install fluxbox (window manager of preferance)

now i want to be able to start x without a graphical interface.
but first i need to configure a file, and point it to fluxbox, right?

-so what file should i edit, and with what
so when i go startx, i runs fluxbox

thanks in advance.

<guessingmode>
Try fluxconf (also a package) and install a login manager like xdm. If you don't want X to start automatically, remove it from /etc/init.d/ using update-rc.d
</guessingmode>

just make ~/.xinitrc and put
Code:
exec fluxbox
in it. startx to start x. I hope I answered your question.
