Debian Printing support


I have Debian 3.1 and an HP Photosmart 7260
Ive installed everything I could think of, but I still cant get it to print anything. Please let me know if you have any suggetions or how-tos on install printers in Debian,

The CUPS section in Debian Reference offers useful advice in selecting the necessary packages. Just one addition: sometimes you need to reboot the computer with power turned on in your printer, so that Debian recognizes the printer. After that the printer configuration should go smoothly.
