Debian packet depending

I install qmail from source and the ezmlm form apt-get
Since i try upgrade with apt-get. I get an error ezmlm depend from qmail. i should install qmail.
I do not like to install qmail form apt-get

How can solve this depend problem.

You can use equivs to create dummy packages that satisfy the dependency of qmail.

It has been a long time since I tinkered with equivs so I don't remember any details, but this should get you started:
