Debian Live cannot load kernel

Hi,

I am trying to run a Debian-NP 0.1r2 Live CD which I was offered as a complimentary.

I type "morphix vga=normal" then it says

"uncompressing Linux ... Ok, booting the kernel"

And thats all. It stops there forever. What could be causing this?

Thanx.

Not to mooch off yoru thread, but im not really sure what distro i want to get and i heard Debian is oneof the better ones. Im thinking of trying Slackware and/or Suse as well of Debian, but would love to get a better comparison/opinion...

You should be able to press F1, F2, etc... to get boot parameters. You probably need to disable acpi with noacpi or scsi with noscsi
