nah, I'm having trouble with the GUI, and don't want to depend on it - at least one of the machines have trouble with graphix card.

Ok, so in that case does that 120 GB HDD still have Vista on it? Do you want to keep Vista?
Or do you want to install Debian and have it completely take over the drive?

Since the processor is a Intel Celeron 575 2 GHZ you could go with a more lightweight distribution like Linux Mint 17 or Lubuntu. -:-(if you keep having issues with the Debian Live GUI)-:-

By the specs it's upgradeable to 4Gigs
