Debian installation doesn't find DHCP

Hi all.

I'm trying Debian's floppy installation, which downloads packets from Internet

I have 166MHz Pentium S with 81 mB of SIMM memory
When I start the installation it detects my 3Com EtherLink XL PCI network card.

Then the problems begin: It can't find DHCP server
We have a router/firewall (TeleWell TW 640)
Windows, SuSe & Mandrake finds the DHCP successfully, but Debian doesn't.

I'd have the same problem before, but I want to try Debian

Thanks to everybody

linux26 is a command you enter at the boot prompt during install, that tells the system you want it to installl using the 2.6 kernel instead of the stock 2.4 kernel.

I quess there is some problem with my network card. Windows, SuSe and Debian DETECTS it, but no-one of them doesn't find the network. I got to try another card.

Also be sure that it isn't the port on your router/switch/hub. These ports can die on you at times, so be aware of that. Granted, if you are plugging directly into a cable modem or something, this doesn't really apply.
