Question Debian install with custom kernel...

I'm preparing to assemble a new pc and I will be doing a net install of Debian. I have pre-compiled kernel 2.6.3 for the "new" pc on my old box and I'm wondering if there is any way that I can install with this kernel rather than doing a "2.4.xxbf2.4" install off the netinst cd? I hate to answer all of the kernel configuration questions if I'm immediately going to install a new kernel.

Is there an option during the install process (I can't believe I've missed one but...) where I can "skip" the kernel configuration and install my own? If not, is there some point where I can exit out of the installation and have enough to install my kernel?

I know I'm probably only talking about saving 15-20 minutes, but time is time.

Thanks in advance!

Just accept the kernel on install, and then replace with the precompiled kernel. (remembering to move system.map, update lilo or grub etc)
